"Context is Everything"
DOCA was formed in 1999.
The aim of DOCA is to provide a forum for Crime
Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) professionals
and
Practitioners to promote safer communities and reduce anti-social behaviour by improving the quality of life through the concept, application and practice of designing out crime.
Membership is open to anyone having a genuine interest in Designing Out Crime. Membership includes Police Officers, Architects, Crime Researchers, University Lecturers, Town Planners, Community Safety Officers, Landscape architects, and Crime risk & research consultants.
The association holds four seminars each year. DOCA publishes newsletters and a refereed journal.
